Piercings are among us for thousands of years and they are going to be an important addition to our style forever.
The first and the most important question you should ask yourself, before getting a piercing is which type I want.
There are a lot of different piercings, some are unique and some are trendy.
Now you will get an idea about 9, most popular styles. If you want to be ‘’cool’’ each one of them would be a great choice.
1. Nose piercing / Septum piercing
A nose piercing is the most popular type of piercing and it has been the most appealing for decades! The best thing about it is the freedom. You can choose any type of a person you like and it can be placed in any spot on your nose. Another advantage is the healing process. It is fast and safe at the same time.
2. Belly button piercing
There is no point in saying how great a belly button piercing is. The main reason, why it is so impressive is the ability to make an ordinary and boring part of the skin better and more appealing.
Another advantage of this piercing type is the decorative piercings you can find. There are millions of them, literally. Most women choose this piercing, but in recent years, men started choosing it as well.
3. Industrial type of piercing
This type is interesting and advanced. It represents two holes, linked with a metal element. As the result, the type in question looks better than single piercing. This is also the main reason why it is so popular.
However, it requires two times longer healing than other types. The most common place for this piercing is an ear, but it can be found on the back and on a tongue.
4. Helix piercing
A Helix or also known as cartilage piercing is extremely popular nowadays. The most common part of a body, where you can see it is the upper ear.
Although this is one of the best-looking types of piercings, it is preferable in pairs or in a higher number. Most people usually have 3-4 of them. An ear will need 6 months to heal, but you can replace a piercing sooner than that.
5. Tongue piercing
This type of piercing is the easiest to heal and it is one of the extremely popular types. Usually, women choose them. It will look modern and advanced, but you will need at least 2 weeks to get used to it.
Keep in mind that without a piercing itself, it will heal extremely quickly.
6. A bite piercing
How many times have you noticed a person having a piercing on the lower lip? Probably a million times. That’s why this is another extremely popular type of a piercing that is interesting, appealing and can be rare (depending on your creativity).
It is different from other lip piercing and it has two penetration holes, one on each side of a lip. Maybe it is more painful than other types here, but it is more appealing and definitely sexy.
7. Conch and rock / rook piercings
These are two sub-types of piercing. Both of them are placed on, an ear. The conch is located on the conch part of the ear, obviously. It is a beautiful and interesting type or self-improvement. Keep in mind that it will require a long time to heal.
A rock / rook piercing is placed on the anti-helix of an ear. Due to the hardness of the tissue, it also requires more time to heal and it is more painful to penetrate than some other types of piercings. Nevertheless, it looks concealed and modern at the same time. This type is treated as popular, but it is perfect if you want to stand out from the crowd.
8. Labret piercing
This is another type of a lip piercing, but it is different than the aforementioned one. The best thing about it is the fact it surrounds the entire lip and it is easily noticed. There are a lot of piercings that allow you to get the desired look.
It is 2 times less painful than the previous type and it is modern, interesting and definitely cool. Keep in mind that you will need some time to get used to it, due to its size and position.
9. Nipple piercing
One of the sexiest types of piercing has to be a nipple piercing. It is usually reserved for women, but it is gaining popularity among men as we speak! The main concern people have, is the infection, due to its location.
If your piercer artist is well-trained, you don’t have to worry about any side effects. Note: If you are planning to breastfeed your child anytime soon, this type of piercing isn’t suitable for you.
